On line Schedule Viewing

Make sure your surgeries are booked and confirmed without making a single phone call. Impulse offers on-line review of your surgical monitoring schedule in a HIPAA secure environment. Of course, you can still call us anytime. We love to hear from our clients.

Data Security and Storage
Impulse transfers all real time IOM data to a remote central location for professional oversight and interpretation via an encrypted virtual Private Network,  meeting all HIPAA requirements.

Professional Oversight

Every case that is presently being monitored by Impulse has an overseeing Neurologist or senior level neurophysiologist who is dedicated to confirming that the best possible information is being provided to the surgeon when it is critical.

Reporting
At the end of each surgery a comprehensive professional report is generated and sent to the hospital records department as well as the surgeons office. The report includes numeric results and professional interpretation comments on the results for each modality that was tested during the surgery. All CPT codes and the number of units to be used in billing are also included to keep with Impulse’s insistence on open and auditable billing practices. Propriety and easy to read reports highlight any abnormalities that were noted by the neurologist during the surgery. This allows the surgeon to quickly focus on those parts of the report that are of concern to the surgical outcome.

Cumulative reporting by case type or surgeon is also available.

Patient Care
Patient Information guides are provided at request to all Surgeon’s Offices so that the patient is aware that neuromonitoring will be applied for their surgery and the reasons why it is important. The Neurophysiologist will also introduce themselves to the patient before the start of the surgery and answer any questions that the patient may have regarding monitoring.
