Professional credentials are widely recognized as the standard for ensuring competency. Specific credentials for IONM are CNIM and D. ABNM. These qualifications include training in not just one modality, but all of the various intraoperative modalities frequently used in IONM, ensuring multi-modality competency. IMI has developed a highly sophisticated training and continuing education program that includes on line, didactic and hands-on components to ensure that the neurologists and neurophysiologists are throughly trained and qualified.
Among our more than 100
neurophysiologists, many with advanced degrees and most with a minimum of CNIM or "in process" CNIM certification. In addition, IMI neurophysiologists undergo rigorous internal training and continuing education programs. We also work with a number of universities to provide fellowship training sites for audiology students. These relationships have resulted in IMI attracting high-end neurophysiologists who are already trained and are eager to be employed upon graduation.
